A few months ago my brother Ken had a torn retina for no apparent reason. He under went surgery to correct and repair the retina, and was in the healing mode. Everything seemed to be going perfect. He went last Wednesday to the eye surgeon for his check up. They dilated his eye and he was given the “everything looks great” prognosis. Thursday he couldn’t see out of the eye, thought he would wait until Monday to see if it would clear up over the weekend. He figured that something from the dilation drug may have caused something in his eye to loose sight again.
My Brother Ken & his wife Margie.
Friday morning came and he could not see out of the eye so instead of going to work he headed for the Dr. The Dr. examined his eye and said that his retina is now 85% torn and he will have to have surgery again. Tuesday was the day for surgery.
He is home now resting. Will be off from work for at least a week. He has been given restrictions so he doesn’t re-injure the retina as it’s healing. Hopefully this surgery will be successful and everything will be back to normal for Ken.
I went to see him after work today, and to mow his lawn. At first he didn’t think the lawn needed mowing, but I persisted and as he was watching me mow his lawn, I think he then realized that it did need mowing. I don’t believe mowing his lawn is one of the jobs he is allowed to do.
Please keep him in your prayers.
Until next time, be safe and God Bless.
