Wilma’s Birthday Party

We just couldn’t let a special birthday go by without sharing it with family and friends! So Saturday evening at 6pm the party commenced!

Wilma had been a little jittery about the party. She said she likes a little attention, but she doesn’t like to be the center of attention! And the center of attention she was Saturday evening.

Everyone lingered on the deck before heading for the basement where the food was, and much cooler temperature.

There had to be 20 different conversations going on at onceDSC_3075

Everyone having a great time, catching up on how their summer has been going. Everyone that was expected showed up, and we had a house full of guests. What fun!

As we finished eating and enjoying the cool temperatures in our basement, it was “back to the deck”. I never thought that everyone would rather be outside in the heat and humidity. As it turned out though it worked out best.

It wasn’t long before Wilma started opening her gifts and taking her razzing! All in fun of course, and we all had a great laugh at Wilma’s expense. Open-mouthed smile

Some of the cards just a little too embarrassing to read aloud, so she passed them around for all to enjoy.DSC_3122  DSC_3123

The party lasted until midnight, and as we headed for bed Wilma said it was a “Great Birthday Party with friends and family”.

Sunday morning we will be getting ready for another Hagedorn Family Reunion, which has been going consecutively for over 130 years!

Until next time, be safe and God Bless.

  1. Happy Birthday!! Looks like you had a wonderful time!
