Congo River Golf

After a day of just lounging around the Pool, we all headed for Congo River Golf to play a game of Putt-Putt golf.

We all have played Putt-Putt Golf before at several locations, but this place was great! If anyone has a chance to play at any of these franchises I would highly recommend it.

As usual it starts out easy on the first hole. But, as you progress through the 18 holes it offers a greater challenge. Some of the holes have as many as 3 different ways to score.

As you worked your way through the “Jungle” you encounter water falls and a crashed Jeep.

The “Congo” music in the background added so much to the atmosphere.

You worked your way up a “Mountain” and through a cave.

And there was no way around it, you had  to go through the cave.

Wilma did really well on that hole. Scoring a 3 on the Par 4.

We arrived close to 7pm, and I made my nightly phone call to Dad checking on him. He told me of some bad weather they might be getting because of the higher than average temperatures. Tornado’s touched down in Mid State, but far enough away to not be concerned.

After returning back to the RV Park, Gary, Cheryl, Diane and myself went to play some shuffle board under the lights. Wilma stayed back to watch a favorite TV show and rest as she was pretty tired from the activities of today. Joe went right to bed.

We ended up playing 4 games which took us till 11pm to finish. Needless to say, I was pretty tired by the time I got to bed.

Tomorrow’s for-cast is for sunny skies with temperatures in the mid 80’s once again. Loving this weather!

Until next time, be safe and God Bless.
