Today the 6 of us went to the Edison - Ford Winter Estate.
All we can say is that this place puts you back in time. Sometime in the late 1920’s. It is just amazing how advanced these two men were.
Of course the link above will explain much better than I can here of what we saw today, but I’ll post many of the pictures we took.
This Banyan Tree was planted by Henry Ford. These pictures just do not do justice to the enormous size of the tree. You really have to look close for the original main trunk of the tree.
The Winter House of Edison and Ford.
Henry Ford planted many different types of plants to experiment with in his lab. He tried several plants just to get a product that could be used for tires on his Model T cars.
Several hours touring the Estate we worked up a hunger. We all agreed to stop at Chens Buffet for a Lunch/Dinner.
We all had a delicious “all you can eat” dinner of an assortment of foods. From there we went back to the RV Park and rested until the evening when the sun started going down. Then we headed for the Shuffle Board Courts. After several games we were all pretty tired and called it a full filled day.
Until next time, be safe and God Bless.
