Lake San Marino RV Park & Delnor-Wiggins State Park

Both Wilma and I were up before sunrise this morning, and we had our coffee sitting under the awning enjoying our weather. It was around 73F this morning and got up to 85F through the day.

Site 68, ours, at Lake San Marino RV Resort.

Each morning we have woke up to a thick fog, leaving everything damp with dew. We just through a towel over the chairs and enjoy.

Looking out our windshield toward the East.

It isn’t long after sunrise and everything is dry.

The sunrise comes up just over our neighbors home across the street from us. A perfect view for us each morning.

We even had 3 Egrets decide to welcome us with their presence this morning.

Following our breakfast we wanted to take a drive and check out the local beaches. All I can say is I’m happy I have a GPS to guide us around. I hate feeling lost all the time.

We did notice that this area of Florida is just plain BEAUTIFUL! Many large condo’s and fancy expensive vehicles.

Having an enjoyable time in the last State Park we stayed at, we wanted to see the State Park here in Naples.

The 166 acre Delnor Wiggins Pass State Park is located on the Gulf, with over a mile of white sand beach. For just a daily fee of $6.00 you can arrive at 8am and stay until dusk. It might just be a beach day tomorrow!

We left the State Park and found a car wash. The car still had the grime from the 1361 miles we traveled from home to here in Naples. Again we had to rely on our Garmin GPS. After a clean car we were going to find a restaurant to eat some lunch. GPS sent us to a local restaurant. We walked in the door, saw all the customers filling up all the available tables and decided we just needed to go back to the Motorhome and make us a lunch.

The temperature was hitting close to 85F today and Wilma wanted to go swimming. Gary and Cheryl wanted to go to the pool also so the four of us took a bike ride to the outdoor swimming pool. Cheryl and I didn’t want to go swimming today, but Gary and Wilma couldn’t resist the clean, warm pool. After an hour or so, we all headed back to our Motorhomes and had our dinner.

Until next time, be safe and God Bless.

  1. Sounds like you had a wonderful day in the warm sunshine. Isn't retirement wonderful!

  2. Those beach pictures certainly look inviting.

  3. So glad all of you are there safe and sound! I've been almost glued to the news and all of the horrendous storms that have (and still are) moving through the south, and remembered that you were heading to Florida. Made me worried that all of you were in the midst of things.

PS: The white beaches are breathtaking. Gary misses that the most (he is a Florida boy, born and raised).
