We woke up this morning to a fresh coat of light snow. Only about 2 inches, so it just added to the festivities of the day.
Wilma stood outside on the deck having her morning smoke and coffee, with a thousand “things to do” today and tomorrow.
The family was expected to arrive around 11am to open gifts and have a delicious baked chicken dinner with Wilma’s famous salad.
The recipe was passed down from my mom, but Wilma’s version of it tastes so much better!
The family arrived on schedule, and the gift opening commenced. Smiles were seen from ear to ear, every where around the room. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed their gifts.
This evening I will be going over to see Dad, which will be the last time I see him until our return trip. I will be speaking to him on the phone every evening though, making sure everything is ok with him.
Again, Wilma and I wish you a Joyous Merry Christmas.
Until next time, be safe and God Bless.
