Fisherman’s Village, Punta Gorda, FL.

Wilma wanted to “see the Gulf Waters” today, so we headed out in the direction of Punta Gorda, FL.

Entering Punta Gorda, FL

Our neighbor was telling us of a great spot to see in Punta Gorda called Fisherman's Village. Not knowing exactly were it was located, we figured we would just get as close to the water as possible.

Just gotta love those Palm Trees! Especially when they line the streets.

The Entrance of Fisherman's Village

Imagine our surprise when we ended up driving straight to Fisherman’s Village. Wow what luck!

As you walk through the front entrance you notice the small shops and restaurants on both sides of the walk way. Very nice merchandise in every one of the shops. No “souvenir junk” to be found here, just top quality items.

This is a two story building, with the shops on the main floor and condo’s on the second floor. Each condo looks out over the water.

There is a small section between the two buildings that is open on both sides to water. Then you enter the second building, with shops and restaurants. I mentioned to Wilma that we should look for a restaurant at the end of this building, as our neighbor said they ate there and enjoyed the food and scenery.

We found the restaurant we were looking for. Harpoon Harry's was where we chose to eat our lunch of a Grouper sandwich.

We had a perfect view of the bay. The other side of the bay is the city of Port Charlotte, FL.

Port Charlotte is located just over Wilma’s right shoulder in the photo above. We had a great lunch and would recommend everyone to try this restaurant out.

We left Fisherman’s Village knowing we would return.

We headed out to do some shopping. I needed to purchase some special cleaning products for the outside of the Motorhome. It hasn’t been washed and waxed in about 2 years now. Looks like my work will be cut out for me tomorrow, as long as this cooler weather in the 70’s hangs around.

Until next time, be safe and God Bless.

  1. Fishermans Village looks so much like a section of old downtown Penasacola. Miss it! Would love to spend some time walking around there again and shopping.
