It still seems a little strange spending the last day of December in Florida where the temperatures rose to the mid 80’s. Kybee, gasping from the heat demanded the air conditioning be turned on in the RV for his comfort, and ours also.
Wilma and I took down the Christmas lights and decorations and packed them away yesterday. This evening we will be attending the New Years Eve Party at the Club House.
We arrived at 6:45 found our seating in the screened in patio of the club house. Still being in the low 80’s made it feel like a 4th. of July party.
Pictured above on the left is Cheri, her husband across from her Greg. Next to Cheri is Wilma. Dennis and his wife Kathy. My seat is next to Wilma and the two empty chairs were for our friends, Gary and Cheryl who could not make it this year.
We were served a delicious dinner consisting of 2 chicken thighs, peas and carrots, and potatoes. The chicken was prepared in a sauce which made it delicious. For desert a piece of warm chocolate cake topped with Raspberry sauce and fresh Raspberry’s, and whipped cream on the side.
Our entertainment was furnished by Jeff and Jim. Both are residents of the RV Park and located just 3 sites from us.
They are both amazing, I would consider them both semi-professional. Jeff on the left plays the keyboards and is blind. He is an inspiration to all who meet him. Jim on the guitar has a computerized rhythym sound system, so it sounds like there is a complete band playing. They started playing at 7:30 and didn’t stop until 1am without breaks. Outstanding to say the least.
This morning Wilma and I had our coffee outside under the awning. The start of another beautiful day.
Until next time, be safe and God Bless.
