Rainy Day, Work and Play

A couple days ago the rain started around noon and didn’t stop until the early hours of yesterday. We did nothing except sit around, watch TV, listen to the rain. The pitter patter of rain on the roof made for a perfect day to take a nap.
Yesterday the sun came out and it turned out to be a great day. I walked over to Steve’s place on the other side of the park. He had offered me his sickle to use to cut the weeds around Gary’s boat.

After the job was completed, it was time to return the sickle, and get some lunch. Not much happened the rest of the day.
Today after the monthly meeting in the Club House, the first Shuffleboard Tournament was held. The temperature was in the high 60’s with the wind blowing. Made one have to put on the jeans and sweatshirt.

We tried, we played and enjoyed ourselves, but we didn’t win. Confused smile But we DID enjoy ourselves! In March there is another tournament scheduled and we will sign up for it again.
Tonight we, (Wilma and I, Greg n Cheri, and Dennis n Kathy) are going out for a Pizza dinner.
Until next time, be safe and God Bless.
